Position Summary

Reyes TX Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Utilities/Drainage Foreman to lead field crews and oversee installation of underground utilities, storm drainage systems, and related site infrastructure. This role is responsible for coordinating daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining jobsite safety, and supporting the successful execution of all utility and drainage activities. As well as ensuring that all work is constructed in accordance with the project specification, safety guidelines, Reyes TX Inc. quality standard and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, direct, and supervise utility and drainage crews on the job site.
• Provide training, mentorship, and support to new or inexperienced employees.
• Maintain strong communication, promote teamwork, and uphold Reyes TX Inc. values.

Planning & Daily Operations

• Plan daily operations and ensure crews have all necessary tools, equipment, and materials to perform work efficiently.
• Coordinate upcoming work with the Superintendent, identifying potential obstacles and planning solutions.
• Ensure all utility and drainage operations comply with Reyes TX Inc. procedures, specifications, and project plans.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete all required jobsite paperwork, including:
  • Play of Day
  • Work Plans
  • Hazard Analysis
  • Timecards
  • Daily equipment checklists, ensuring proper review and accuracy with equipment operators
• Receive, verify, and sign off on materials deliveries and trucking invoices.

• Ensure quality production and verify all utility and drainage installations meet project specifications.
• Perform routine quality checks and promptly address all non‑conformance issues.

Position‑Specific Technical Responsibilities (Utilities & Drainage)

• Oversee installation of underground utilities, including water lines, sewer lines, storm drainage systems, manholes, inlets, and related infrastructure.
• Read and interpret civil plans, grade sheets, pipe layouts, and line/grade stakes.
• Coordinate with survey, operators, and labor crews to ensure proper trenching, bedding, backfill, and compaction.
• Monitor pipe installation, alignment, elevations, and required inspections.
• Ensure compliance with municipal specifications, environmental regulations, and utility installation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising crews in utilities, drainage, underground piping, or civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and excavation safety (trenching, shoring, confined space).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and project documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective decision‑making in the field.
